Despite the disappointing week we’ve had we have another game to look forward to as we travel to Everton for the early kick off at 12:45 tomorrow afternoon, I know the lads have not had much rest and in an ideal world this game should be played on Sunday instaed as Everton players had a whole week to recover from their FA Cup triumph against Chelsea, whilst we played Barcelona mid week which without a doubt was a very demanding game physically. Still, there is no point complaining and moaning...

Can Arsenal Maintain their title challenge?

When non-Arsenal fans listen to passionate Gunners proclaiming that ‘this could be the season’ the almost irresistible temptation is to smirk patronisingly whilst saying ‘What, again?’ Even die-hard ‘Arsene knows’ types must have the honesty to admit that the situation we find ourselves in currently, a situation in which Arsenal’s title hopes are being positively talked up by pundits and other experts beyond the usual suspects (take a bow Ian Wright), is one which we’ve witnessed...

So as the heading goes we are off North tomorrow morning, this is not a special treatment from the club either, the lads are going there to earn three points end off! So Sahin deal did not come off in the end, to me it wasn’t a final transfer deal to be honest. When Jack W comes back to full fitness and takes to field his presence becomes rather obsolete so we have lost and gained at the same time without spending big bucks! Frankly I have never heard of him until now which is strange because...

Arsenal vice-captain Mikel Arteta has high hopes for the Gunners this season and believes they are looking in good shape to have a successful campaign. The Spaniard was made vice-captain by Arsene Wenger behind Thomas Vermaelen, who is the new skipper at the Emirates Stadium. It looks as though Arsenal could still do some business in the transfer window, with a loan move for Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin looking likely. Also, the highly-rated Yann M’Vila, who has been a long-term target for...

Thoughts on Van Persie

So Robin Van Persie has finally joined Manchester United after a summer of speculation. The deal is worth around £24 million for the Gunners skipper and in the end, maybe it is a good bit of business from Arsene Wenger.  Although everyone assessing football bets  will agree that last season, the Dutchman was an instrumental figure in Arsenal’s campaign and they would have been nowhere without him – it was the only time he had made more than 30 appearances in a season in the Premier League.  Wenger...

Liverpool 1:2 Arsenal Full Match Report

So, just 3 days after the International break we emerge for yet another big game for Arsenal. This time the trip will take us north to Anfield. To say both teams had a bad international, injury wise, would be fair. Arsene Wenger was angered by the Belgian FA after Thomas Vermaelen, who was injured after the North London Derby last week, was ‘forced’ to play the full 90 minutes against Greece. Arsene has since threatened to report Belgium to FIFA regarding the matter. When asked about the situation...
