Ray Parlour has said that he believes that Arsenal should have opted to sell Mesut Ozil and rather renewed the contract of Aaron Ramsey. The Welsh international Ramsey looks to be headed out of the club at the end of the season after signing for the Gunners In 2008 from boyhood club Cardiff City. The 27-year-old has yet to sign a new contract at the Emirates with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season. Rumours have suggested that Unai Emery’s side are not prepared to give...

So we here it goes, we are officially out of two cup competitions within a week, we all knew too well it would be Mission Impossible to beat Barcelona at Camp Nou. We did give it our best shot and if our players were ruthless in front of goal it could have been a different story, however it wasn’t the case as it hasn’t been for few months now. We started brightly and in the first 15 minutes I thought we could really do some serious damage, but that didn’t last and we paid the ultimate...

We all saw the game last night including my disappointing comments on another blog, I think I have for once lost the plot but was I the only one? I don’t want to talk about the game or the previous one for that matter it was let’s honestly say total shambles! It pains me to say we are not good enough any more for the so called 4th spot trophy if you ever believed it was just that. Yesterday’s performance proved this to me as I have believed the team can lift themselves as they...

Singing The Praises Of Song

We all know Alex Song the tenacious, tough tackling defensive midfielder. Yesterday, however, he showed us a side to him that we had only glimpsed before. Song, 24, showed us that he’s not just a tough-tackling, knuckle-headed dm. In fact, he showed such incredible craft and vision so precise that he is on level terms with David Silva for most successful through balls. Defensive midfielder? Let’s see. We shall start at the beginning, where did he come from? Well, he was born Alexandre Dimitri...

Greetings fellow Gooners! Up to 7th and within touching distance of the Champions League places again…Crisis? What crisis?!?! Of course, we all had our doubts at one point or another. We all had to listen to the media screaming about the end of Arsenal. We all had to listen to other “fans” crying out for the head of Arsene Wenger. We even had to sit through protests at the stadium before games (just what is needed when you have a team desperately low on confidence!). But, in the...

Greetings fellow Gooners! Marseille at home offers us the opportunity to guarantee our place in the knock-out phase of the Champions League. OK, it depends on the result between Dortmund and Olympiacos too, but with two games left to play in the group, it would be a nice touch to add to a fantastic couple of Arsenal weeks! Having already sneaked a cracking steal the points victory in France two weeks ago, one assumes that our confidence will be high heading into the return home match. Add to that...
